PARTY LIKE IT'S 2029 on Buttery Soft DK - Indie-Dyed Yarn

COLORWAY
I named this colorway Party Like It's 2021 a few months into Covid in 2020. I decided to keep the theme but keep moving forward--a long way forward this time.

This is the speckliest yarn I've ever made. I used magenta, orange, yellow, chartreuse, blue, berry, and purple speckles. Did I miss anything? ;-)

YARN BASE
I used Buttery Soft DK as the yarn base, and the speckles meld much more on this base than on my superwash yarn bases, giving it a distinctly Impressionist look.

Buttery Soft DK is made of 45% baby alpaca, 45% extra-soft 19.5 micron merino, and 10% silk, and it really lives up to its name! 

Please note that this is NOT a superwash yarn. That means it can felt with agitation and changes in temperature, so it should be washed by hand in cool water. On the other hand, it can be fulled.
