2026 YARN ADVENT CALENDAR PREORDER - Purple Flowers

This year's Advent calendar is inspired by the color that started it all! The theme is Purple Flowers, and all the colors will be shades of purple ranging from lightest lilac to deepest eggplant with everything in between. I'll be alternating between semi-solid colorways and Splashed & Speckled colorways. 

Altogether the colorways will create a lovely gradient set. 

WHAT YOUR YARN ADVENT CALENDAR INCLUDES
Each set will include twenty-five 20 gram mini skeins wrapped in their own individual numbered boxes. The idea is to open one box each day beginning on December 1st and ending on Christmas Day. However, this is a no-guilt kit. If it takes longer or if you decide to start early, that's okay. It just means more time to enjoy the creative process. 

YARN BASES
This year you can choose from four different yarn bases. I chose each base for a different reason, so hopefully you'll find the one that meets your needs. They are:

1. Splendid Sock - This is a 4-ply yarn made of 75% superwash merino and 25% nylon. It's strong enough for socks, warp in weaving, or anything else you want to make from it. It has the most yardage of all the options with 93 yards per 20 gram skein. The total yardage for all 25 mini skeins will be 2325 yards.
2. Stained Glass Fingering - Stained Glass Fingering has one white ply and one ply that alternates every couple feet between black and white, giving that fabulous zebra effect. I think the black ply against the purple colorways will look stunning! It's made of 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon. It has 80 yards per 20 gram skein. The total yardage for all 25 mini skeins will be 2000 yards.
3. So Silky Fingering - This luxury yarn base is made of 50% superwash merino and 50% mulberry silk. It's very strong and extraordinarily soft. It's a 4-ply yarn with 87 yards per 20 gram mini. The total yardage for all 25 mini skeins is 2175 yards. 
4. Squish DK - This is a nice round 4-ply yarn made of 100% superwash merino with 46 yards per 20 gram skein, bringing the total yardage for all 25 minis to 1150 yards. With this heavier weight option, you'll have the satisfaction of your project going faster.

FULL-SIZED SKEIN OPTION
Since some Advent calendar patterns call for a full-sized skein to go with the minis, I'm offering the option of a matching full-sized skein. It will be a semi-solid colorway, and it will come on a yarn base that is the same as or very similar to the base you choose for your mini skeins.

PATTERN IDEAS
Since I'm offering multiple yarn weights this year, I am including a list of pattern possibilities rather than a single pattern. The list will include pattern ideas for both knitting and crochet. I'll include the list with your Advent calendar, but in the meantime, I have a fingering-weight bundle and a DK-weight bundle on Ravelry available to see now.

SURPRISE GIFT
The kit will also include a gift that is useful for both knitters and crocheters.

TIMELINE
This is a preorder. I'll be dyeing and packaging your Advent calendars in time to ship on or before November 1st. I can ship these anywhere within the US and to Canada as well.

Please order your Advent Calendar all by itself. The box is quite full with just the kit, so please order other items separately.
