MERMAID DANCE Yarn Sets for Lena Mathisson's Mystery Knitalong - Dyed to Order

Lena Mathisson is the amazing knitwear designer at Softyarn Designs. We have been collaborating on her MKAL (mystery knitalong), Mermaid Dance. I can't show you a photo of the shawl since it is a mystery, but I can tell you that I have seen it and it's really gorgeous! 

The shawl calls for two contrasting skeins of sock-weight yarn. I have put together some colorway sets on Dream Sock and Sock Perfection. Lena used Dreams of the Sea and Galadriel's Gift on Dream Sock.

MYSTERY KNIT-ALONG/PATTERN INFO
You can sign up for Lena's MKAL on her website here, on Ravelry here, or on Etsy here. The pattern will come in a series of 4 clues beginning on October 15th. 

The knitalong fun will take place on Ravelry, with chat threads starting on October 8th so that you can get to know the other knitters, share photos, cheer each other on, and ask questions any time.

TIMELINE
I'll be dyeing these just for you, so please allow 2 weeks for me to dye them and ship them. The makealong is going on now, but that's no reason you can't still join in! Once it's over, the pattern will be published in full.

WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE
You will receive two skeins of yarn--one skein of each of the colorways shown--on your choice of either Sock Perfection or Dream Sock.

YARN BASES
Dream Fingering is about the softest thing I have ever felt. It's made of 70% baby alpaca, 20% mulberry silk, and 10% cashmere. It's a 2-ply yarn with 437 yards per skein. It should be washed by hand in cold water and laid flat to dry.

Sock Perfection is strong enough for socks and soft enough for everything else, including lovely shawls. It's made of 80% extra-soft superwash merino and 20% nylon. It's a 4-ply yarn with 450 yards per skein. It can be hand washed or machine washed in cold water and laid flat to dry.
