Lena Mathisson is the amazing knitwear designer at Softyarn Designs. She designed a gorgeous shawl called Mermaid Dance, and she used Dream Fingering to make it.
The shawl calls for two contrasting skeins of sock-weight yarn. I have put together some colorway sets on Dream Sock and Sock Perfection. Lena used Dreams of the Sea and Galadriel's Gift on Dream Sock, which you can see in the photos. Isn't it beautiful?
TIMELINE I'll be dyeing these just for you, so please allow 2-3 weeks for me to dye them and ship them.
WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE You will receive two skeins of yarn--one skein of each of the colorways shown--on your choice of either Sock Perfection or Dream Sock.
YARN BASES Dream Fingering is about the softest thing I have ever felt. It's made of 70% baby alpaca, 20% mulberry silk, and 10% cashmere. It's a 2-ply yarn with 437 yards per skein. It should be washed by hand in cold water and laid flat to dry.
Sock Perfection is strong enough for socks and soft enough for everything else, including lovely shawls. It's made of 80% extra-soft superwash merino and 20% nylon. It's a 4-ply yarn with 450 yards per skein. It can be hand washed or machine washed in cold water and laid flat to dry.
