I dyed Eggplant everywhere except the middle section both sides, and I dyed that middle section with fuchsia, orange, yellow, chartreuse, Renaissance Blue, and Lilac.
One of the really cool things that happens with this colorway is that one section of the colors goes ROYGBIV while the next one goes VIBGYOR. I've included a couple photos of a hat I knit so you can see what I mean.
It also works great for assigned pooling and planned pooling both.
Regarding the actual yarn, I dyed it on Sock Perfection, which is perfect for everything from socks to shawls to sweaters and beyond. It's made of extra-soft superwash merino and nylon.
