The inspiration for this colorway came from the beautiful purple irises in our next-door-neighbor's yard. Almost half the skein is dyed a deep rich eggplant. The other colors are soft lilac, daffodil yellow, and spring green. I then lightly speckled over the lighter colors with a darker purple.
I dyed it on Sock Perfection, which is perfect for everything from socks to shawls to sweaters and beyond. It's made of extra-soft superwash merino and nylon.
I included a photo of what Purple Iris looks like knit up, but I knit it on Sparkly Merino Sock.

I included two photos of a hat I knit using Purple Iris on Wonderful Worsted to give you an idea of how it can work up. Keep in mind that this will vary depending on your pattern and many other factors.
