Create your own masterpiece with yarn inspired by famous paintings! Each month, I create a new colorway just for my club members, going chronologically through the various periods of art history.
You can take a look a past months’ club colorways right here.
TIMELINE
I normally announce the painting that I'll be using to inspire the following month's colorway in my newsletter on the 3rd Friday of the month. Then around the middle of the following month, you will receive your yarn as well as a postcard of the painting with information about the painting and the artist.
You just have to subscribe once, and then you'll keep getting the next month's colorway for as long as you like. I make it easy to switch clubs, skip a month, or cancel altogether. Sign-ups and changes to your monthly subscription can be made until the last day of the month for the next month's colorway right here.
YARN BASE
This club is for my So Silky Fingering yarn base, which is made of 50% mulberry silk and 50% superwash merino. It's very soft and also very strong. This yarn base is wonderful for shawls, hats, sweaters, cowls, and more. Not only is it great for knitting and crocheting, but it's also great for warp or weft in weaving.
OPTIONS
The club colorway will always be a variegated yarn, but you have a few options to add matching semi-solids:
- You can add a full-sized matching semi-solid on So Silky Fingering.
- You can also choose to add a matching semi-solid mini skein on Splendid Sock. This is great if you want to make socks with a good sturdy option for the heels, toes, and cuffs. Splendid Sock is a 4-ply yarn made of 75% superwash merino and 25% nylon.
- Last but not least, you can choose to add a skein of Suri Lace Cloud in a coordinating semi-solid colorway. Suri Lace Cloud is a fluffy yarn base with 437 yards per 50 gram skein. It's a lot like mohair but much softer. Many people like to hold this double with the club colorway.
I just opened my first monthly club colorway and it is just exquisite. The colors are beyond beautiful. I am so excited to knit with it and have to find a beautiful shawl pattern.
Please tell the boys that I can't wait to use the stitch markers...thanks again!!
