FOUR SEASONS RECTANGULAR WRAP KNITTING PATTERN FOR FINGERING-WEIGHT YARN

The Four Seasons Wrap was inspired by Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and the four seasons they represent. It’s a rectangular wrap knit from the bottom up. It starts with snowflakes for winter and then moves to falling leaves for autumn followed by ocean waves for summer and diamond wreaths of tiny flowers for spring.

I made it with my Four Seasons colorways on Sock Perfection, but you could use any four skeins of fingering-weight yarn with at least 400 yards per skein.

Needles and Notions

• US Size 5 needles that are (ideally) 60 inches in length
• 1 removable stitch markers
• 2 additional stitch markers
• A tapestry needle to weave in ends
• Blocking pins and mats
• Optional:  An additional 36 stitch markers to mark the repeats
  

Yarn
This pattern is made to be used with 4 different colorways of fingering-weight yarn. You’ll need 400 yards per skein for a total of 1600 yards. I knit the sample using the four Vivaldi’s Four Seasons colorways on Sock Perfection. So Silky Fingering, Dream Fingering, Feather Fingering, and Stained Glass Fingering would all be great options too.

If you choose to make the Four Seasons Wrap with a different set of colorways, I would suggest using either all semi-solids or all Splashed and Speckled colorways that work well for each season and go well together. 

Difficulty Level
This is an intermediate-level pattern. There are no particularly difficult stitches, but Winter and Autumn require keeping careful count of the lacy pattern repeats. Summer and Spring are a bit easier.

Finished Size
After blocking, it was 84 inches wide and 20 inches tall.
