COLORWAY Eowyn Meets with Aragorn is one of myLord of the Rings inspired colorways. Just as Aragorn is about to go to the paths of the dead to gather a mighty force to fight Mordor, he meets Eowyn, the shield-maiden of Rohan. She begs him not to waste his life by going on this perilous path but to join them in the battle instead.
This colorway has colors representing each of the characters--gold, turquoise, blue, and eggplant. It is similar to The Hands of the King but with more blue.
I dyed this yarn using my Splashed and Speckled method, which means each skein contains the same colors but in different places, making each one unique. If you plan to use more than one skein in a project, I recommend switching skeins every few rows to create a more consistent look.
YARN BASE I dyed it on my Squoosh DK yarn base, which is made of extra-fine 19 micron superwash merino and comes in extra-large skeins.
