Eowyn Meets with Aragorn is one of my Lord of the Rings inspired colorways. Just as Aragorn is about to go to the paths of the dead to gather a mighty force to fight Mordor, he meets Eowyn, the shield-maiden of Rohan. She begs him not to waste his life by going on this perilous path but to join them in the battle instead.
This colorway has colors representing each of the characters--gold, turquoise, blue, and eggplant.
YARN BASE
I dyed it on Feather Sock, which is made of 85% extra-fine non-superwash merino wool and 15% silk. It's a 2-ply yarn with a lot of yardage. It's great for sweaters, shawls, hats, and more. Just be aware that it should be hand-washed in cold water so it doesn't felt. On the other hand, it's great for weavers and others who want to full their cloth.
