Enchanted Forest is a deep rich journey into every forest in every work of literature--a place of dangerous creatures and mischievous fairies and the risk of getting lost in something larger than yourself.
The colors are dark green, light green, brown, dark blue, and dark purple along with a multitude of black and green-blue speckles. I dyed this yarn using my Splashed and Speckled method, which means each skein contains the same colors but in different places, making each one unique.
I dyed this colorway on Stained Glass Sock, which is a soft and squishy 2-ply yarn made of 100% superwash merino. The thing that makes Stained Glass Sock uniquely wonderful is that one ply is made of white wool while the other alternates between black and white, so when I dye the yarn, it looks like leaded stained glass. Each 100 gram skein has 437 yards.
Enchanted Forest on Stained Glass Sock
437 yards / 3.5 oz / 2 plies
100% superwash merino
Care: Machine or hand wash cold and air dry.
Enchanted Forest would look great with The Hands of the King and maybe Little Black Dress on a different yarn base to differentiate between them.
I included two photos that show a hat I knit up in this colorway using Aran Go Baa. It should give you an idea of how the colorway will work up, but keep in mind that how it looks will vary a lot depending on the pattern, the yarn base, and even the individual skein.
