It's time for this year's Eight Days of Easter kits! Each year for the last seven years I have created a mini skein surprise kit for Easter. These are like a mini Advent set.
Colorways
This year the color story will be inspired by the beautiful bridal bouquet in the photo. The colorways will be a combination of assigned pooling colorways and semi-solid colorways, all made to go together.
Yarn
The yarn base is Silken Fingering. It's a soft and lovely 2-ply yarn made of 80% superwash merino and 20% mulberry silk. You'll get eight 20 gram minis with the kit. Each one is 80 yards, so you'll get 640 yards altogether.
Pattern
I'll be including a knitting pattern of my own design made for this kit. It's a small shawl, and it's appropriate for an advanced beginner. I'll be sending a paper copy of the pattern with the yarn.
If you are a crocheter or prefer to make a different item with your kit, take a look at the Assigned Pooling Pattern bundle I've made on Ravelry with both knit and crochet patterns that use assigned pooling.
Packaging
Each mini skein will be packaged in a small reusable drawstring bag, and those will be placed in a reusable basket with paper Easter grass. The idea is to open the numbered drawstring bags in order from 1 to 8 and knit or crochet that part of the pattern each day starting with Easter Day. Of course if it takes a little longer, all the better! It's meant to be enjoyed for as long as it takes.
Preorder
I'm offering this as a preorder, which means I will dye as many sets as there are orders.
Timeline
I'll be dyeing all the kits and shipping them out by March 25th in order to have plenty of time for you to receive them before Easter, which is on April 5th this year. The deadline to order will be March 1st or when they all sell out--whichever comes first.
Please order the Eight Days of Easter kit by itself because it's just the right size for the boxes. :-)
International Customers
I am certainly happy to ship these to Canada, but please keep in mind that they may not arrive in time for Easter. Also be aware that you may have to pay Customs fees.
Wholesale Customers
Unfortunately, the extra labor involved in these kits makes it so that I cannot offer them to my wholesale customers.
