CROCUSES IN SNOW Hand-Dyed Yarn on Sparkly Merino Sock - Assigned Pooling Version

Three quarters of the skein is white with several kinds of purple speckles. The other quarter is a deep purple just like a beautiful crocus flower.

While this colorway can be used for any project, I made it especially with assigned pooling in mind. Assigned pooling is a new technique created by Dawn Barker that uses a skein of yarn with one quarter of the skein dyed one way and three quarters of the skein dyed in a distinctly different color or combination of colors. When you get to the portion that takes one quarter of the skein, you do something different. Take a look at Dawn Barker's beautiful patterns to see what I mean.
