Imagine lying on a soft blanket in the middle of a grassy field staring up at the blue, blue sky. You gaze up at the clouds and see an elephant, a dog, a rabbit, a fluffy sheep. It's the perfect day for cloud gazing!
That is what I had in mind when I created this colorway. Cloud Gazing is an assigned pooling colorway with white for the clouds and blue for the sky. I kept going outside to hold different shades of blue up to the sky when I was working on it. My neighbors probably thought I was nuts! :-)
YARN BASE I dyed it on Sock Perfection, which is perfect for everything from socks to shawls to sweaters and beyond. It's made of extra-soft superwash merino and nylon.

YARN SWATCH I played around with several stitches and found the floret stitch from Dawn Barker's Float shawl worked great as clouds on the blue background.
