COLORWAY Chasing Orcs and Hobbits was inspired by the section of The Lord of the Rings when orcs attack and kidnap Merry and Pippin. Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas track them for days, chasing both the orcs and hobbits in hope of finding them.
This was a colorway from my 2023 Lord of the Rings inspired Advent calendar and one of a few I am adding to the shop. The colors include copper, forest green, eggplant, mithril, and chocolate.
I dyed this yarn using my Splashed and Speckled method, which means each skein contains the same colors but in different places, making each one unique. This colorway is not likely to pool. If you plan to use more than one skein in a project, I recommend switching skeins every few rows to create a more consistent look.
YARN BASE I dyed it on my Squoosh DK yarn base, which is made of extra-fine 19 micron superwash merino and comes in extra-large skeins.
