Beowulf was inspired by the epic poem. It's a dark, dramatic colorway that matches the heroic tale and the fight between good and evil. When I showed it to my older kids and told them the name, they all thought it was too pretty to be Beowulf, but we'll just call that an added bonus.
I dyed it on Sock Perfection, which is perfect for everything from socks to shawls to sweaters and beyond. It's made of extra-soft superwash merino and nylon.

The last photo shows Beowulf with Eggplant. It would also look wonderful with The Winedark Sea.
I have included two photos of a hat I knit using Beowulf on Wonderful Worsted to give you an idea of how it can work up.
