Is anything more beautiful than Japanese maples in autumn? Years ago we had the privilege of living in a home where the previous owner had planted lots of different Japanese maples under the shade of big oak trees. I enjoyed them so much!
I love every shade of these delicate beauties from golds to orange to red and even purple. This colorway is reminiscent of all the different varieties of Japanese maples in autumn.
It's a Splashed and Speckled colorway, so it isn't likely to pool.
YARN BASE
I used Feather Sock as the yarn base. Feather Sock is made of 85% extra-fine non-superwash merino wool and 15% silk. It's a 2-ply yarn with a lot of yardage. It's great for sweaters, shawls, hats, and more. Just be aware that it should be hand-washed in cold water so it doesn't felt. On the other hand, it's great for weavers and others who want to full their cloth.
