The painting that inspired this colorway is by Leonid Afremov, a late 20th century artist who used a palette knife and these amazing brilliant colors that are sort of reminiscent of pointillism.
Each scarf is unique--even more so than hand-dyed yarn.
These scarves are made of mulberry silk woven in the satin weave. It's shinier on the front than the back and has a soft almost velvety feel. This fabric is a bit thicker than habotai silk and a little less prone to wrinkling.
They measure 8 inches wide and 54 inches in length and can be worn in so many different ways. There are lots of great videos on youtube on different ways to style these.
They are also great to travel with too since they fold up to almost nothing and weight less than an ounce, and they make wonderful, unique gifts.
I recommend hand washing in cold water and hanging to dry. If you like it smooth and crisp, you can use an iron with a cloth or a steamer to smooth out any wrinkles
