The painting that inspired this yarn colorway is by Leonid Afremov, a late 20th century artist who used a palette knife and these amazing brilliant colors that are sort of reminiscent of pointillism. I actually created this colorway for my November 2020 club and decided to add it to the shop this year.
I dyed it on lovely, soft organic Polwarth top, which is one of my favorite fibers and one that I frequently recommend to new spinners. It's almost soft as merino, but it has a longer staple-length, making it easier to spin.
