THE KING OF THE GOLDEN HALL on Stained Glass Sock

Regular price $28.00

Quantity Available: 4

The King of the Golden Hall was inspired by the home of Theoden King in The Lord of the Rings when Gandalf brings him back from the influence of Wormtongue. This was a colorway from my 2023 Lord of the Rings inspired Advent calendar and one of a few I am adding to the shop.

The colors include gold, eggplant, silver, chocolate brown, dark blue, and dark green.

I dyed this yarn using my Splashed and Speckled method, which means each skein contains the same colors but in different places, making each one unique. If you plan to use more than one skein in a project, I recommend switching skeins every few rows to create a more consistent look.

I dyed this colorway on Stained Glass Sock, which is a smooth, soft 2-ply yarn made of 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon. The thing that makes Stained Glass Sock uniquely wonderful is that one ply is made of white wool while the other alternates between black and white, so when I dye the yarn, it looks like leaded stained glass. Each 100 gram skein has 400 yards.
