Butterfly Collection - MONARCH BUTTERFLY Hand-Dyed Yarn on Stained Glass Sock

Regular price $28.00

Quantity Available: 2

I have been seeing a lot of beautiful butterflies in our backyard lately, thanks to the previous owner who planted lots of flowers that butterflies love. I've even seen a few monarch butterflies, which are my favorite. This yarn colorway was inspired by those beautiful butterflies.

I dyed this colorway on Stained Glass Sock, which is a soft and squishy 2-ply yarn made of 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon. The thing that makes Stained Glass Sock uniquely wonderful is that one ply is made of white wool while the other alternates between black and white, so when I dye the yarn, it looks like leaded stained glass--or in this case the black lines in monarch butterflies' wings. Each 100 gram skein has 400 yards.
