EGYPTIAN BLUE Hand-Dyed Yarn on Stained Glass Sock

Regular price $28.00

Quantity Available: 3
Egyptian Blue is a dark smoky blue that I created to go with one of my club colorways. It was inspired by a pigment used in ancient Egyptian art for thousands of years. It's a tonal colorway with various shades of blue.

I dyed it on Stained Glass Sock, which is a soft and squishy 2-ply yarn made of 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon. The thing that makes Stained Glass Sock uniquely wonderful is that one ply is made of white wool while the other alternates between black and white, so when I dye the yarn, it looks like leaded stained glass. Each 100 gram skein has 400 yards.
