VAN GOGH'S STARRY NIGHT on Sparkly Merino Sock - Assigned Pooling Version

Regular price $28.00

Quantity Available: 2
When I discovered Dawn Barker's amazing Assigned Pooling patterns, I kept thinking how perfect it would be to combine her pattern with Van Gogh's Starry Night, so I took my original Starry Night colorway and changed the placement of the colors to work for her Float Shawl.

I had my friend Natalie knit up the shawl, and it is absolutely gorgeous! The Float Shawl calls for 3 skeins of fingering-weight yarn. I also have a couple of my own assigned pooling patterns here that would work really well for this colorway.

The yarn has all the blues and greens that form the background of Starry Night for three-quarters of the skein, and the remaining one-quarter is the beautiful golden yellow of the sun and stars in the painting.

I used my Sparkly Merino Sock base, which is made of 92% superwash merino and 8% sparkly lurex. It's a lovely base for shawls and cowls and hats.
