EOWYN PLEADS WITH ARAGORN on Stained Glass Sock

Eowyn Pleads with Aragorn is one of my Lord of the Rings inspired colorways.

Here's the scene: Just as Aragorn is about to go to the paths of the dead to gather a mighty force to fight Mordor, he meets Eowyn, the shield-maiden of Rohan. She begs him not to waste his life by going on this perilous path but to join them in the battle instead.

This colorway has colors representing both of the characters--gold, turquoise, blue, and eggplant. It is similar to The Hands of the King but with more blue.

I dyed this yarn using my Splashed and Speckled method, which means each skein contains the same colors but in different places, making each one unique. If you plan to use more than one skein in a project, I recommend switching skeins every few rows to create a more consistent look.

I dyed this colorway on Stained Glass Sock, which is a smooth, soft 2-ply yarn made of 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon. The thing that makes Stained Glass Sock uniquely wonderful is that one ply is made of white wool while the other alternates between black and white, so when I dye the yarn, it looks like leaded stained glass. Each 100 gram skein has 400 yards.
