Israel has always been close to my heart. In recognition of the terrible suffering caused by Hamas in their October attack, I created a colorway based on the Israeli flag. I am calling it Though the Fig Tree Blossom Not, which is a line from one of the Old Testament prophets. It is a song of hope in the midst of suffering.
The yarn is white with long and short portions of royal blue. It is an assigned pooling colorway, but it also looks great knit "normally."
Between now and the end of the year, I will be donating 25% of the proceeds from the sale of Though the Fig Tree Blossom Not to American Friends of Magen David Adom, which provides emergency medical care to those in need.
You can see a hat I knit in stockinette to give you an idea of how it works up.
I will keep the preorder going at least until the end of November, and I'm dyeing the orders as they come in. Please expect it to take 1-2 weeks once you place your order before it is ready to ship. If I can do it sooner, I will. :-)
If you haven't already done so, please take a moment to sign up for my weekly newsletter. You'll find secret sales for subscribers only, interviews with pattern designers, tutorials, and announcement for new product lines. You'll also receive a one-time coupon code by email as soon as you sign up.
Happy fiber artistry!
