I made Sunset Orange on Alpaca Lace Cloud. The colorway has some lovely variation from a yellow-orange to a pink-orange, but the predominant color is a soft peachy-orange.
This yarn base has all the delightful texture of a mohair yarn with none of the itch. It's made of baby suri alpaca and silk, and it has a wonderful halo similar to angora.
It can be used on its own or, as I have shown in the last photo, it can be used along with another yarn to add texture.
It is a lace-weight yarn, but because of the texture, I recommend using slightly larger knitting needles or crochet hooks than you typically would given its weight.
This would also be great for weft in weaving.
The yarn comes in 50 gram skeins with 328 yards per skein.
Sunset Orange on Alpaca Lace Cloud
328 yards / 1.75 oz / 2 Plies
74% Baby Suri Alpaca / 26% Silk
Care: Hand wash cold and air dry.
Sunset Orange would look great with the same colorway on So Silky Sock as shown in the last couple photos.
