When I dyed this colorway, I was originally planning on creating a sunset, but then I couldn't decide whether it looked more like a sunrise or a sunset. I asked all of you on Instagram and Facebook what you thought, and it was almost even between the two.
In light of that, I decided to incorporate a song from one of my favorite musicals--Fiddler on the Roof--and name it after that. Introducing Sunrise, Sunset. Many thanks to Rachel who suggested the idea.
The song is sung by the parents at the wedding of their eldest daughter. They are wondering how the years have passed so quickly, and I know that is a sentiment that many of us have felt.
I dyed it on Sock Perfection, which is fantastic for everything from socks to shawls to sweaters and beyond. It's made of 80% extra-soft superwash merino and 20% nylon.
