A few months ago, I had planned to dye up one of my regular spring colorways, but I could not stop thinking about the people of Ukraine and the horror that they are still experiencing right now.
I decided to stop everything and dye up a new colorway inspired by the beautiful flower that is their national symbol, the sunflower.
I dyed this colorway on Stained Glass Sock, which is a soft and squishy 2-ply yarn made of 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon. The thing that makes Stained Glass Sock uniquely wonderful is that one ply is made of white wool while the other alternates between black and white, so when I dye the yarn, it looks like leaded stained glass. Each 100 gram skein has 400 yards.
