These soft, luxury art batts are inspired by Gershwin's song of the same name and, well, the unseasonable rainy gray days we have been having around here. Some people take lemons and make lemonade. I take gray days and make art batts. ;-)
These are made of a combination of merino top, tussah silk, and a generous amount of angelina and firestar in soft blues, grays, black, a bit of soft green, and a bit of white.
Name: Stormy Weather
Weight: 2 ounces
Contents: 83% merino top, 15% tussah silk, 1% angelina, 1% firestar
Colors: blue, gray, green, black, white
Carding Style: Layered batts carded twice to blend colors well
Uses: Spinning or Felting (83% feltable fibers)
Each art batt is shipped to you in a lovely organza drawstring bag to prevent it from getting dusty until you are ready to use it. It also has a label to let you know what it's made of for future reference. This makes a great presentation if you are giving art batts as a gift to your favorite spinner or felter as well.
MY GIFT TO YOU
Also, as a token of my appreciation, I would be happy to include your choice of either a sprig of fresh rosemary from my organic garden or a handmade felt ball infused with essential lavender oil with your order. Both of these smell wonderful and are natural moth deterrents. Just let me know if you would like one and which one you would prefer in the note to seller when you check out.
Happy fiber artistry!
