I dyed it using an Ikat method, which means that there are short stripes of white on the dark navy background. If you knit with this yarn, you'll get one or two stitches of white amid the darker background, and the white looks a bit like stars.
To add even more sparkly starlight, I used my Sparkly Merino Sock base, which is made of 92% superwash merino and 8% sparkly lurex. It's a lovely base for shawls and cowls and hats.

I have included a photo of a swatch I knit in this colorway using Buttery Soft DK. It should give you an idea of how the colorway will work up, but keep in mind that how it looks will vary a lot depending on the pattern you use and the yarn base as well.
