Imagine camping out under the stars atop a high mountain in summer time. You glance up at the sky and are overtaken by the beauty and wonder of the dark blue sky filled to bursting with starlight. That was the inspiration for this colorway.

I dyed it using an Ikat method, which means that there are short stripes of very light blue on the dark navy background. If you knit with this yarn, you'll get one or two stitches of light blue amid the darker background, and those look a bit like stars.

I dyed it on Sock Perfection, which is fantastic for everything from socks to shawls to sweaters and beyond. It's made of 80% extra-soft superwash merino and 20% nylon.

YARN SWATCH
I included a couple photos of a hat I knit up in this colorway using Buttery Soft DK. It should give you an idea of how the colorway will work up, but keep in mind that how it looks will vary a lot depending on the pattern, the yarn base, and even the individual skein.
