When I made Spring Wedding, I kept thinking of the old adage about weddings that goes, "Something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue." This has a little of all four. I dyed half of the skein a soft antique blue and the other half I left white and added splashed and speckles in bright blue, renaissance blue, lilac, and berry.
If it's knit into socks and depending on your pattern, it will create thin stripes--probably one row of blue followed by one row of white with all the speckles.
I dyed it on my Sock Perfection yarn base, which is made of 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon--perfect for anything including socks.
Spring Wedding on Sock Perfection
450 yards / 3.5 oz / 4 plies
80% extra-soft superwash merino wool / 20% nylon
Care: Machine or hand wash cold and air dry.
Spring Wedding would look great with Carnevale, Lilac, or Burgundy Rose.
I included two photos of a hat I knit using Spring Wedding on Wonderful Worsted to give you an idea of how it can work up. It will vary depending on your pattern, needle size, yarn base, and more.
