SLEEPY HOLLOW Indie-Dyed Yarn on Stained Glass Fingering

Regular price $27.00

When I originally dyed this colorway, I was aiming for something for Halloween. However, after I dyed it I thought it looked great for all of autumn and not just Halloween. I decided to name it Sleepy Hollow after Washington Irving's short story, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow."

Whether you decide to use it for Halloween or just as a great fall colorway, I hope you enjoy it!

I dyed this colorway on Stained Glass Fingering, which is a soft and squishy 2-ply yarn made of 100% superwash merino. The thing that makes Stained Glass Fingering uniquely wonderful is that one ply is made of white wool while the other alternates between black and white, so when I dye the yarn, it looks like leaded stained glass. Each 100 gram skein has 437 yards.

YARN PAIRINGS
Sleepy Hollow would look great with Chocolate, Eggplant, and Little Black Dress.

YARN SWATCH
I have included a couple photos of a hat I knit using Sleepy Hollow on a worsted-weight version of Stained Glass to give you an idea of how it can knit up. Keep in mind that that base doesn't have the black ply this one does.
