When I originally dyed this colorway, I was aiming for something for Halloween. However, after I dyed it I thought it looked great for all of autumn and not just Halloween. I decided to name it Sleepy Hollow after Washington Irving's short story, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow."
Whether you decide to use it for Halloween or just as a great fall colorway, I hope you enjoy it!
I dyed it on Squiggle Sock, which is such a fun yarn base made with superwash merino spun in a spiral around a nylon core and with little beehives or slubs every couple feet.
Sleepy Hollow on Squiggle Sock
437 yards / 3.5 oz / 2 Plies
90% Superwash Merino / 10% Nylon
Care: Hand wash cold and air dry.
Sleepy Hollow would look great with Eggplant, Chocolate, and Monarch Orange to name a few.
I included two photos of a hat I knit using Sleepy Hollow on Wonderful Worsted to give you an idea of how this can knit up. Keep in mind that that is a smooth base and doesn't have the squiggles of this one. :-)
