When I originally dyed this colorway, I was aiming for something for Halloween. However, after I dyed it I thought it looked great for all of autumn and not just Halloween. I decided to name it Sleepy Hollow after Washington Irving's short story, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow."
Whether you decide to use it for Halloween or just as a great fall colorway, I hope you enjoy it!I dyed this yarn on Sparkly Merino Sock, which is made of 92% superwash merino and 8% sparkly lurex. It's a lovely base for shawls and cowls and hats.
Sleepy Hollow on Sparkly Merino Sock
409 yards / 4 oz / 4 plies
92% superwash merino / 8% lurex
Care: Machine or hand wash cold and air dry
Sleepy Hollow would look great with Chocolate, Little Black Dress, and Eggplant to name a few.
I have included a couple photos of a hat I knit using Sleep Hollow on Wonderful Worsted to give you an idea of how it can work up.
