Imagine taking a quiet walk on the beach. There is a gentle breeze and the soft movement of the waves lapping at your feet. You come across a beautiful, perfect seashell and decide to take it home to add to your collection.
Seashell is a lovely subtle soft colorway that has silver, gold, copper, gray, very light green, and a soft sea blue. I included a photo of the type of seashell I had in mind when I made the yarn.
I dyed this colorway on Stained Glass Sock, which is a soft and squishy 2-ply yarn made of 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon. The thing that makes Stained Glass Sock uniquely wonderful is that one ply is made of white wool while the other alternates between black and white, so when I dye the yarn, it looks like leaded stained glass. Each 100 gram skein has 400 yards.
Seashell on Stained Glass Sock
400 yards / 3.5 oz / 2 plies
80% superwash merino / 20% nylon
Care: Machine or hand wash cold and air dry.
Seashell would look great with The Hands of the King, Arwen, or Ice to name a few.
