I dyed Eggplant everywhere except the middle section both sides, and I dyed that middle section with hot pink, orange, yellow, chartreuse, Renaissance Blue, and Lilac.
One of the really cool things that happens with this colorway is that one section of the colors goes ROYGBIV while the next one goes VIBGYOR. I've included a couple photos of a hat I knit so you can see what I mean.
This would be great for both assigned pooling and planned pooling.
I dyed it on Super Sport, which is a wonderfully squishy 80/20 superwash merino/nylon yarn perfect for hats, shawls, sweaters, and heavier weight socks for winter. It is a nice round 3-ply with great stitch definition.
