Phantom of the Opera was inspired by the dark and complex tale of love and revenge. The main colors are Eggplant, Purple, Burgundy Rose, and The Winedark Sea. I dyed it using my Splashed and Speckled method, so every skein will be somewhat unique.
I used Feather Sock as the yarn base, and the colors are far more subtle in variation on this base than they are on my superwash bases.
Feather Sock is made of 85% extra-fine non-superwash merino wool and 15% silk. It's a 2-ply yarn with a lot of yardage. It's great for sweaters, shawls, hats, and more. Just be aware that it should be hand-washed in cold water so it doesn't felt. On the other hand, it's great for weavers and others who want to full their cloth.
