This yarn was inspired by Pagliacci, the Italian opera by Leoncavallo. The yarn has a rich elegance to it with mostly muted tones of blue, green, purple, pink, red, copper, and silver.
I dyed this yarn using my Splashed and Speckled method, which means each skein contains the same colors but in different places, making each one unique.
I used Feather Sock as the yarn base. Feather Sock is made of 85% extra-fine non-superwash merino wool and 15% silk. It's a 2-ply yarn with a lot of yardage. It's great for sweaters, shawls, hats, and more. Just be aware that it should be hand-washed in cold water so it doesn't felt. On the other hand, it's great for weavers and others who want to full their cloth.
