I am really excited about this colorway and technique. I dyed this yarn using a technique based on Ikat weaving, which is thought to have been the first decorative weaving technique in Japan, Indonesia, and several other ancient societies.
The yarn is predominantly black with short segments of bright blue. The second to last photo shows a knit sample of my Onyx and Amethysts colorway, which is made the same way. As you can see, it's a black background with little "stars" of color.
