I dyed this yarn using a technique based on Ikat weaving, which is thought to have been the first decorative weaving technique in Japan, Indonesia, and several other ancient societies.
The yarn is predominantly black with short segments of lilac. When you knit with it, you get a black background with little "stars" of color.

YARN PAIRINGS
Onyx and Amethysts would look great with any or all of the other ikat yarns, including Black Butterfly and Onyx and Sapphires. It would also pair well with Lilac.
