ONE MORE ROW Sock Blank with Gradient Stripes

Sale price $22.50 Regular price $30.00

If you have never used a sock blank to knit from, it's so much fun! You get to watch the design and the colors go by in a totally new way as you knit straight from the blank.

Oh, and by the way, there's nothing in the world saying you can only make socks from sock blanks. These are single blanks made of 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon fingering-weight yarn, and you can use them for anything you would use sock-weight yarn for.

I dyed this particular blank in 2 sets of stripes as follows:
sea foam green
light blue
royal blue

The colors repeat in the same order starting halfway through the sock blank, so you could make a pair of pretty-close-to matching socks with this blank.

I used a graffiti style to write, "I'll just knit one more row" on all the colors other than gray in royal blue. The words will show up as speckles and short stripes when you knit them up.

You could also use this blank as a matching hat and mittens set or a cowl or shawl with a repeat of the colors.

How do you use a sock blank? Some people like to unravel the whole thing at once and then work from a normal ball of yarn. However, I think it's more fun to just unravel it as you go so you can enjoy the color changes and just set the whole thing on your lap. You start at one side and just keep unraveling as you go. The yarn will be curly, but that's okay. It will block out just fine.

As a token of my appreciation, I would be happy to include your choice of either a sprig of fresh rosemary from my organic garden or a handmade felt ball infused with essential lavender oil with your order.  Both of these smell wonderful and are natural moth deterrents. Just let me know if you would like one and which one you would prefer in the note to seller when you check out.
Happy fiber artistry!
