One of the most frightening parts of The Lord of the Rings is the trip through Moria. Years before Frodo, Gandalf, Aragorn and the other companions travel through it on their way to Mount Doom, it had been turned into a beautiful underground kingdom by the dwarves, but they delved too deep.
It is a place of darkness and terror but also of beauty from what the dwarves had wrought in times past.
The colors of the yarn include eggplant, lilac, several shades of blue, and several shades of green.
I dyed it on Sock Perfection, which is perfect for everything from socks to shawls to sweaters and beyond. It's made of extra-soft superwash merino and nylon.
Moria on Sock Perfection
450 yards / 3.5 oz / 4 plies
80% extra-soft superwash merino / 20% nylon
Care: Machine or hand wash cold and air dry.
Moria would go beautifully with Eggplant or Annunciation Blue.
MY GIFT TO YOU
As a token of my appreciation, I would be happy to include your choice of either a sprig of fresh rosemary from my organic garden or a handmade felt ball infused with essential lavender oil with your order. Both of these smell wonderful and are natural moth deterrents. Just let me know if you would like one and which one you would prefer in the note to seller when you check out.
