I dyed it on So Silky Sock, which is made of half superwash merino and half mulberry silk. It's a wonderful yarn base for everything from shawls to socks to warp or weft for weaving. It's incredibly soft and so strong I can't break it with my hands.
The last photo shows the particular painting I used as my inspiration.
Monet's Water Lilies on So Silky Sock
437 yards / 3.5 oz / 4 Plies
50% Superwash Merino/50% Mulberry Silk
Care: Hand wash cold and air dry.
Monet's Water Lilies would look wonderful with Annunciation Blue, Brilliant Blue, or Lilac.
I included a photo of a swatch I knit up of this colorway using Sparkly Merino Sock. It should give you an idea of how the colorway will work up, but keep in mind that how it looks will vary a lot depending on the pattern, the yarn base, and even the individual skein.
MY GIFT TO YOU
As a token of my appreciation, I would be happy to include your choice of either a sprig of fresh rosemary from my organic garden or a handmade felt ball infused with essential lavender oil with your order. Both of these smell wonderful and are natural moth deterrents. Just let me know if you would like one and which one you would prefer in the note to seller when you check out.
