MONET'S WATER LILIES Indie-Dyed Yarn on Feather Sock

Monet's Water Lilies was inspired by Monet's amazing series of oil paintings by the same name. The colors include multiple shades of blue and green as well as a bit of lilac and some bright chartreuse.

I used Feather Sock as the yarn base. Feather Sock is made of 85% extra-fine non-superwash merino wool and 15% silk. It's a 2-ply yarn with a lot of yardage. It's great for sweaters, shawls, hats, and more. Just be aware that it should be hand-washed in cold water so it doesn't felt. On the other hand, it's great for weavers and others who want to full their cloth.
