I dyed it on Diamond Silk Sock, which is an incredibly soft and strong luxury yarn base made of 100% mulberry silk. This is a great yarn base for those who are sensitive to wool. It is also tremendous for knitting and crocheting beautiful lacy shawls and for warp or weft as weaving. I would not recommend it by itself for sweaters or socks because silk does not have memory the way wool does.
Monet's Water Lilies on Diamond Silk Sock
Splashed & Speckled Colorway
436 yards / 3.5 oz / 4 plies
100% mulberry silk
Care: Hand wash cold and air dry
Monet's Water Lilies looks beautiful with Lilac, Freedom Blue, Enchanted Forest, and many more.
I included a couple photos of a hat I knit using this colorway on a heavier yarn base so you can get an idea of how it works up.
