This scarf was inspired by one of my favorite paintings by Monet: The Portal of Rouen Cathedral in Morning Light. That's quite a mouthful, so I decided to call it Monet's Cathedral, but here's a link to the painting. He spent two years painting the same cathedral at different times of day, and some have called it the ultimate series in Impressionism. The colors include dark blue, medium blue, soft lavender, eggplant, and a bit of chartreuse with a generous amount of speckles.

These silk scarves are the perfect way to add the finishing touch to any outfit. They are made of habotai silk, and I have hand-dyed each one. Each one is unique--even more so than hand-dyed yarn.

The scarves measure 11 inches wide and 60 inches in length and can be wrapped two or three times or knotted and worn in so many different ways. There are lots of great videos on youtube on different ways to style these.

They are also great to travel with too since they fold up to almost nothing and weight less than an ounce, and they make wonderful, unique gifts. They are so soft!

I recommend hand washing in cold water and hanging to dry. If you like it smooth and crisp, you can use an iron or a steamer to smooth out any wrinkles.
