I have been seeing a lot of beautiful butterflies in our backyard lately, thanks to the previous owner who planted lots of flowers that butterflies love. I've even seen a few monarch butterflies, which are my favorite. This yarn colorway was inspired by those beautiful butterflies.
The colorway includes several shades of orange and thin stripes of black too.
I dyed it on Sock Perfection, which is perfect for everything from socks to shawls to sweaters and beyond. It's made of extra-soft superwash merino and nylon.

YARN PAIRINGS
Monarch Butterfly would look great with Little Black Dress. In fact, that combo would work nicely for Halloween.
YARN SWATCH
I have included a couple photos of a hat I knit in this colorway. It should give you an idea of how the colorway will work up, but keep in mind that how it looks will vary a lot depending on the pattern you use and the yarn base as well.
