I used Feather Sock as the yarn base. Feather Sock is made of 85% extra-fine non-superwash merino wool and 15% silk. It's a 2-ply yarn with a lot of yardage. It's great for sweaters, shawls, hats, and more. Because of the nature of non-superwash yarn, the colors blended much more than they did on the other yarn bases.
Just be aware that it should be hand-washed in cold water so it doesn't felt. On the other hand, it's great for weavers and others who want to full their cloth.
Midsummer Night's Dream on Feather Sock
490 yards / 3.5 oz / 2 plies
85% extra-soft non-superwash merino / 15% silk
Care: Hand wash cold and air dry.
Midsummer Night's Dream would look great with Paris, Crocuses in Snow, Lilac, Margarita, Eggplant, The Winedark Sea, and Kristin Lavransdatter.
