MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM Indie-Dyed Yarn on Feather Sock

Midsummer Night's Dream was inspired by Shakespeare's comedy. I tried to convey the magic of the fairies as well as the delightful mixed-up fun of the whole play.

I used Feather Sock as the yarn base. Feather Sock is made of 85% extra-fine non-superwash merino wool and 15% silk. It's a 2-ply yarn with a lot of yardage. It's great for sweaters, shawls, hats, and more. Because of the nature of non-superwash yarn, the colors blended much more than they did on the other yarn bases.

Just be aware that it should be hand-washed in cold water so it doesn't felt. On the other hand, it's great for weavers and others who want to full their cloth.
