LA BOHEME Hand-Dyed Yarn on Stained Glass Sock

La Bohème was inspired by the brilliant opera by Puccini. It's my favorite opera with the amazing music, the great characters, and the beautiful sad plot.

I dyed this using a multi-layered technique, and the colors are so deep and rich. The colors include lilac, spring green, gold, sunset orange, blue, and burgundy rose.

I dyed this colorway on Stained Glass Sock, which is a soft and squishy 2-ply yarn made of 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon. The thing that makes Stained Glass Sock uniquely wonderful is that one ply is made of white wool while the other alternates between black and white, so when I dye the yarn, it looks like leaded stained glass. Each 100 gram skein has 400 yards.
