La Bohème was inspired by the brilliant opera by Puccini. It's my favorite opera between the music and the characters and the beautiful sad plot.
I dyed this using a multi-layered technique, and the colors are so deep and rich. The colors are gold, lilac, spring green, and a bit of blue, but the burgundy rose predominates.
I dyed this yarn on So Silky Sock, which is a luscious fingering-weight yarn made of 50% silk and 50% superwash merino.
La Bohème on So Silky Sock

50% superwash merino wool, 50% silk

La Bohème goes beautifully with Monet's Cathedral and Burgundy Rose.
I included a photo of a swatch I knit up in this colorway using Quick and Cozy Bulky. It should give you an idea of how the colorway will work up, but keep in mind that how it looks will vary a lot depending on the pattern, the yarn base, and even the individual skein.
